India faces many natural disasters because of its different types of land. It is one of the top 10 countries most affected by disasters in the world. A disaster is a sudden and very bad event that can cause many deaths, break homes, and force people to leave their homes. According to the Disaster Management Report by the Ministry of Home Affairs, about 60% of India is at risk of earthquakes. More than 40 million hectares could be flooded. Around 8% of the land is likely to be hit by cyclones, and 68% could face droughts.
In the past years, Rashtriya Sewa Bharti has helped in many disaster situations. We have learned how to respond quickly and effectively. Our main goal is to protect human dignity, reduce suffering, and save lives.
